Simply ResusĀ© can help you achieve the new Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
CQC requires service providers to make plans in advance of a foreseeable emergency, to ensure the needs of people who use your services are met effectively in an emergency in accordance with the guidance provided by the Resuscitation Council UK.
This requires service providers to ensure:
Staff receive annual training to develop and maintain the competency needed to perform to their expected abilities and roles (RCUK).
Staff quickly recognize when a person becomes seriously ill and requires treatment and immediately respond competently (our training covers the early recognition and treatment of the seriously ill patient in line with NPSA & RCUK guidelines).
Staff receive training that is delivered by an accredited competent trainer and is in accordance with guidance of expert bodies (all our trainers are experienced clinicians, with the appropriate RCUK qualification).
Staff are assessed as competent during training and that development / support is provided if required (we ensure that all staff are assessed during training and a certificate of competence is provided).
Clinical Audit. We offer mock arrest scenarios with full debrief of staff and formal written feedback to your organisation outlining recommendations. For a small additional fee we will also provide an indecent audit of your resuscitation equipment.
The service provider has effective clinical policies and procedures in place and these are subject to regular mock emergency exercises in accordance with National Patient Safety Agency and CQC standards (we offer assistance in developing bespoke Resuscitation policies to match the needs of your organisation).
